The music Avicii left behind continues to make waves, touch our lives, and even win awards. Wednesday night at the Swedish Rockbjörnen gala in Stockholm, the producer’s father Klas Bergling was there to represent and receive an honor on behalf of Tim “Avicii” Bergling.
Avicii received the Rockbjörnen award for best Swedish song of the year for his hit single “Without You.” In his first public appearance since the tragic passing of his son, Klas Bergling spoke proudly about the song and thanked fans for their ongoing support.
“I am happy to have been given the opportunity to be here tonight to say thank you for this amazing award that you have rewarded Tim and Sandro and to everyone of you who have voted for ‘Without You,’ an amazing song.” 
He continued: “But also, and perhaps formost to say thank you for all and every amazing tribute you have given Tim and his music. From all his fans and others, from churches, schools, festivals and so many more. It’s been almost incomprehensible and it has warmed our hearts, all of the family, during this hard time, so again a big thank you to everyone.”
Congrats to Avicii and everyone involved with the production behind “Without You.”
