Travis Scott was scheduled to perform at Osheaga Festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada last week, Friday, August 3, but due to border delays, showed up more than an hour late for his set. Scott was scheduled to play at 9:45 p.m. and play until 10:55 p.m. at the festival, but did not take the stage until 11 p.m. and only performed for 40 minutes instead of the scheduled 65.

Due to his tardiness, student Megan Le Stum and many others left the festival expecting Scott to not show up at all. Le Stum is now filing a class action lawsuit against the festival claiming she would not have attended had Scott not been on the lineup. Le Stum is asking for the cost of a one-day GA pass plus taxes in her suit ($115 Canadian; about $88 USD).
Osheaga addresses artist cancellations or lateness in their FAQ section, stating, “All Festival performers, including headliners, are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refunds will be issued if a festival performer is changed or canceled.”
If the lawsuit even gets approved, which doesn’t seem likely given the provision from the festival, it would take months to conclude.
