Days ago, Excision promised us that his collab with Illenium was “locked and loaded” and ready to go — and now we have a release date. After months of teases, we’ll finally get to break our necks to the official release come this Tuesday!
As Headbangers and Illenials already know, this collaboration is pure gold. Illenium concluded his EDC Las Vegas set earlier this year with the massive ID. Before that, Excision got fans hyped off just a snippet.
The new single, titled “Gold (Stupid Love),” blends Illenium’s melodic appeal with Excision’s heavy-hitting bass, finding a perfect mixture of sweet and spicy that totally slaps. It’s really awesome to hear the two producers find some common ground with this track, all the way down to the artwork that shows a t-rex and phoenix colliding.
