In an odd parallel to Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s speedy engagement, Justin Bieber has now become engaged to model Hailey Baldwin. Bieber, 24, and Baldwin, 21, have dated in the past, but have recently become reacquainted with each other… and more.
Rumors began to swirl this past weekend as each of the young adult’s parents began posting on social media. On Saturday, Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, tweeted “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love” with no further explanation. His father posted a photo a photo of him on Instagram with the caption, “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
Baldwin’s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, tweeted Sunday that he and her mother, his wife, Kennya, “Always pray 4 God’s will !! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB.” That tweet was quickly deleted.
The engagement has since been confirmed, as Baldwin has been spotted flaunting a massive ring.
“Hailey’s oval stone is about 6 carats, F-G color grade and VS clarity, making it one of the better diamonds out there,” estimates Andrew Brown, president of WP Diamonds — who did not work with the couple on the ring. He also estimated the ring retails for around $400,000.
