Ticketmaster UK Confirms Customer Data Has Been Hacked

Ticketmaster UK has confirmed it’s been the target of a malicious software attack and the personal data of its customers have been hacked.

The security breach reportedly includes names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, and payment details — no personal information seems to be off limits. Ticketmaster log-in details may have also been compromised.

On June 23, 2018, Ticketmaster UK “identified malicious software on a customer support product hosted by Inbenta Technologies, an external third-party supplier to Ticketmaster.” Inbenta has since been disabled.

Ticketmaster UK has since contacted the customers affected by the hack via email and launched a dedicated website to help manage the crisis. A free 12-month identity monitoring service is also being offered.

It should be noted, any international customers who may have logged in or attempted to buy tickets — between September 2017 and June 23, 2018 — could have been impacted by this data breach.
