Tragedy befell Croatia’s Hideout Music Festival yesterday as one man became victim to a stabbing attack, losing his life; additional reports vary saying there is at least one other man, possibly two, in the hospital. At least one man was brought into a local hospital having been stabbed five times. Little is known at this time about the deceased, 26-year-old Ugo Wilson, but it’s reported he was unarmed at the time of the attack. The man or men in the hospital are still unidentified.
In a statement released to Magnetic Mag, Hideout Music Festival has said:
“Following an incident involving a group of young men at Zrce Beach early this morning, one man tragically lost his life. Another man remains in hospital. We are giving every assistance to the investigation and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the people affected.”
Hideout released another statement on their Facebook page stating, “We are giving every assistance to the investigation and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the people affected. As always, we are working closely with the local authorities with the safety and security of everyone on site as our top priority. The Hideout Team.”
It is not clear how Hideout intends to proceed, whether they will keep the festival open or close doors early.
