Eric Prydz has unleashed his brand new, 3-pack Dare U EP as his techno alias Cirez D, in which he serves up a dark and heavy blend of pounding, warehouse-ready tracks.
Earlier this year, the producer’s other famous side project Pryda blessed us with a 4-pack EP, but there’s a stark contrast between his entrancing PRY 039 release and the relentless, throbbing energy heard throughout Dare U. Prydz seamlessly morphs from one into another, as both his latest EPs prove he’s a true master of his many crafts.
The title track “Dare U” is easily our favorite here, setting the pace and providing us with the most untamed Cirez D vibe — and with that, he’s back in action. Next up, “The Glitch” gets weird with it, throwing in quirky sounds from left field and surprises at every turn. Finally “Black Hole,” drives the EP home with a straightforward techno beat, leaving just enough room to let our imaginations run free.
