At long last, fans will have the change to listen to Rezz’s live set intro all the live long day. Her collaboration with 1788-L, “H E X,” is out this Friday off her forthcoming album, Certain Kind of Magic.
We’ve been hearing this collaboration in all of Rezz’s sets since she debuted it at Ultra earlier this year, and it’s since become her favorite set opener. The preview below is the first high quality preview we’ve gotten of the song and it’s absolutely wild. The synths are unbelievably textured and hit extra hard for that live oomf.
The track title is also perfectly in sync with the whole “dark magic” vibe that Rezz has going for her album, making this one of the most anticipated tracks on the release. Many fans have already been calling this one of the tracks of the year, and we’re inclined to agree. It’s definitely our favorite release yet from 1788-L. It’s also Rezz’s apparently, as she’s been posting, “one of my favourite tracks I have been a part of.”
