Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Release Long-Awaited Collab With Wiz Khalifa, “When I Grow Up”

Having been played out for a while now, the massive collaboration between Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Wiz Khalifa, “When I Grow Up,” is finally out. The peculiarly self-referential track works to blend Wiz’s unique vocal style and DVLM’s smooth production in a way we haven’t really heard before.

At its core, the song is wildly aspirational. It’s about growing up and being successful against any odds lobbied against you. It’s about, honestly, growing up to be like Wiz Khalifa…

Wiz Khalifa talking about the collaboration: “It was super dope that Dimitri & Mike thought of me for this record. Performing it with them live at EDC Vegas really made it come to life for me as well. Very excited for the rest of the world to hear this!”

In spite of the fact that DVLM brought out Wiz to perform this song live on the main stage at EDC, it’s not really a main stage type of song at all. It’s mellow and melodic, more singer/songwriter than EDM. That being said, it’s still one of our favorite Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike tracks they’ve dropped in recent memory.

Check it out below.
