It’s a sad day in the dance music world, as indie sweethearts Manila Killa and Candleweather, better known together as Hotel Garuda, have announced their final show together as a duo.
In the announcement made via social media, Aseem and Chris thank their fans for all of the love and support over the past 4 years. They also reveal that Electric Forest will be their final show as a duo.
“The book on Hotel Garuda isn’t nearly over, this is just the beginning of a new chapter.”
We assume that Aseem (Candleweather) will take over the project solo as Chris focuses on Manila Killa as a solo project, as well. The whole situation seems reminiscent of when Flume left What So Not and it was helmed by Emoh Instead, and look at how successful that project has become!
Needless to say, we wish both artists the best and can’t wait to see what they can do in the future. Read the full statement from Hotel Garuda below.
