Dillon Francis Reveals Directors Cuts Of His “One Deeper Talks” With DJ Hanzel

A little over a year ago, Dillon Francis worked with TBS to produce a series of interview-style videos called “One Deeper Talks” that brought along Calvin Harris, Tokimonsta, Jauz, Alesso, Kaskade, What So Not, and Flosstradamus. Perhaps they knew, perhaps they didn’t, but rather than speaking to Dillon Francis, they were speaking to DJ Hanzel.

It wasn’t so much a series as a collection of short interview snippets, all around 2 minutes long. However, of course, there was way more caught by the cameras that we never got to see.

Now, for whatever reason, Dillon Francis has regained ownership of the original footage and has released a directors cut of his interview with Calvin Harris. In the Eric Andre-style interview, the new footage is ostensibly even more Hanzel-esque than the original cuts.

“Watch out, that’s more fragile than your career,” Hanzel says to Calvin Harris as the latter collides with a lamp on set. “Your songs have been streamed more than 5 billion times. Does this make you the McDonald’s of music?” he asks.

Only the Calvin Harris directors cut has been shared so far, but we figure the other ones aren’t far behind (we hope). Check it out below.
