What do you do when you have already booked one of the best festival lineups in the world? You make it better. Creamfields is going into its 21st year in England and is one of the largest music festivals in the world. For context, it drew in 25,000 people in just its first year in 1998.
This year, the lineup is truly staggering; name a DJ, and chances are they’re on the lineup. But of course, not everyone is there, and some people you won’t know about until the day of. Creamfields has announced that there will be three surprise sets, one a day on August 24-26.
With how many artists are already playing Creamfields, the possibilities for surprise sets are narrowed down considerably. Then again, taking into account back-to-back sets, and they bubble up a bit again.
Of course, one of the big rumors going around is Swedish House Mafia. With Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Steve Angello both playing the festival this year, people have assumed they could all play together. Creamfields is also a festival which holds history for the trio, so it wouldn’t be out of the question.
Keep an eye on Creamfields and artist socials for some possible clues! All will be revealed for certain in just a little over two months.
