KRANE first experimented with his SESSIONS project last year, highlighting some real rising stars like DNMO, sober rob, and Havok Roth. This year, he returns for Vol. 2 with a new host of talent like Awoltalk and Max Styler.
The beautiful thing about SESSIONS is that it isn’t governed by any genre or label or direction. It’s all about giving the smaller guys a platform and letting them shine, an ideal which is echoed by KRANE himself.
He states that it is “not about genre, or follower numbers or brand. It is about the music, and featuring producers on the come-up that few people have heard of.”
“Changes” with Max Styler and GOLDN is undoubtedly trap, but it plays more along the softer side, bringing some heavy singer/songwriter influence into the mix and creating something you could slow dance to, rather than headbang. On the other side of the coin, you’ve got “Going Back” with Lemay which is absolutely, one hundred percent a wild festival tune.
It’s hard to pick a favorite from the bunch, and that’s probably entirely beside the point of the compilation anyhow. SESSIONS Vol 2 is available now to stream. Check it out below.
