The continued effort to push #MeToo and give women a strong platform has worked well, but some news still reveals the extent of sexual abuse and misconduct. The latest in this tangled web: Kesha claims that producer Dr. Luke may have raped Katy Perry.
The report comes from The Blast, who obtained previously hidden court records. The obtained court records state that Kesha sent a text to Lady Gaga in February 2016 that said Dr. Luke raped Katy Perry.
According to the filing, “Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, [Lady Gaga] spread negative messages about [Luke] in the press and on social media.” 
Kesha has been involved in an extensive court case with Dr. Luke, accusing the producer and her ex-manager of drugging and raping her. Kesha has been attempting to get out of her contract with Dr. Luke for quite some time, and this news makes the producer look even worse.
Ultimately it’s Kesha’s word vs Dr. Luke’s. Perry and Gaga have both given depositions in relation to the ongoing case; Perry has not publicly accused Dr. Luke of any wrongdoing.
The court case between Dr. Luke and Kesha has tipped in Dr. Luke’s favor, but we hope Kesha—and anyone else allegedly abused by the producer—prevail.
Quite a biased article. Dr Luke has defended himself against these allegations for years and Kesha has never once provided any evidence. Dr Luke has made quite a good defense as to why Kesha has made all these allegations and it’s not surprising that the courts are in his favour. Why would you assume that he is lying and she is not? Btw this article screams of defamation so I would take it down.
