Pusher Drops First Single From PAPERMAN EP, “Sober” with Soren Bryce

It’s been almost two years since PUSHER’s New Laces EP came out, and fans have been dying to hear some new original material from the Toronto-based producer. (PUSHER put out a remix for NOTD in April you should definitely check out.) Their wish is finally granted as PUSHER releases “Sober” with alt-pop singer-songwriter Soren Bryce on Lowly.

The tune is the first look into PUSHER’s forthcoming ‘PAPERMAN’ EP, scheduled to be released October 19th, 2018.

Taking so long between projects, you might expect PUSHER to have undergone a full rebrand in sound and branding, but it’s good to see him the same as ever, and just as good. From the melody to the vocals, everything is just as it should be.

“‘Sober’ is a song about coming out of the dark and taking back control of your life,” says PUSHER. “My bright, shiny sounds paired with Soren Bryce’s melancholy vocals expose the bittersweetness in realizing how far you’ve gone off course in life, but reaffirm your fight to get back to where you want to be.”

Bryce adds, “I very much enjoyed writing ‘Sober’ with PUSHER because it allowed us to explore what it means to be ‘in control’ of decision making and how to be present in life.”

Unfortunately, the PAPERMAN EP isn’t out for another 4 months, but you can listen to “Sober” right now. Check it out!
