Very little is known about GRAVEDGR, one of the latest mystery artists to come to light in dance music. Having come up thanks in large part to Carnage and Heavyweight Records, GRAVEDGR makes his production debut now with “Rampage.”
If there’s a way to make a debut as an artist, a music video portraying yourself as a crazed murderer is among them. The video for rampage, out yesterday, makes use of GRAVEDGR’s already-established mask to play into the narrative of a mass murderer, going around killing unsuspecting victims. As far as we can tell, there’s no connection between them.
As for the track itself, it’s largely atonal bass in the drop, a direct indication of the sort of maniacal carnage that the video represents. The tempo matches trap, but the soundscape is more complex than just “trap” can truly convey.
Be sure to stick around to the end of the video for a surprise twist.
