A rather sad piece of breaking news today: someone has died at Bonnaroo. The Daily News reports that local authorities confirmed a male was found dead in the festival’s campgrounds around 10 a.m. CT today.
Foul play is not suspected, but an investigation is attempting to find out the man’s cause of death. Lucky Knott, spokesman for the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, also told Daily News that around two dozen people have required medical assistance this year so far. Knott cites the heat as the cause for medical concerns.
This death marks the first time someone has died at Bonnaroo since 2015. Bonnaroo has not yet returned comment on the death. The festival continues this weekend in Manchester, Tennessee.
