Daktyl released “Monochrome” with MOONZz in November 2017 as part of his Riyaaz EP, but it wasn’t the first track they wrote together. That track was actually just released and is called “Weather.” Daktyl says it’s his take on a love song, and it’s also the “last” one he’s written. The wording leaves the possibility of a future one open to interpretation but that’s beside the point for now…
You can easily sense the chemistry that Daktyl and MOONZz experienced in the studio by the cohesion of the lyrics and production; and clearly the two enjoyed each other’s talents as they made another track together. “Weather” is a poppy and bubbly ballad in which you won’t find any traditional drops or large, anthemic EDM moments. What you will discover is sincerity and passionate songwriting, and isn’t that what we all want at the end of the day?

Lyrics:
I am the lonely poet,
You are the wandering soul.
A beauty in the limelight,
Unheard of on the whole.
Water of my day today.
Champion of my health.
The rock pool and the avalanche,
You are life itself.
I could swim in you forever,
and drink you till I drowned.
You are the perfect weather,
Your voice the perfect sound.
I could swim in you forever,
and drink you till I drowned.
Your minds a constellation,
Your voice the perfect sound.
Our love the coldest water
The shock we always seek.
I’ve loved you since the first time.
All else is pale to me.
The stars melt into moonlight;
A haze not seen but felt.
A fractured golden outline,
you are life itself.
I could swim in you forever,
and drink you till I drowned.
You are the perfect weather,
Your voice the perfect sound.
I could swim in you forever,
and drink you till I drowned.
Your minds a constellation,
Your voice the perfect sound.
