“Teenage Crime” may not have the hundreds of millions of plays that some other progressive songs in the 2009-2011 era now have, but it’s still an absolute classic in the annals of prog house history; Adrian Lux has never had another song so successful.
Now, eight years later, Christofi comes and puts a new spin on the classic that breathes new life into it. The tempo is bumped up a bit, adding newer-style vocal chops and production techniques. Bits of house remain in the new version, though it’s tinged with a more gentle future bass vibe, as well. The final drop features a bit of drum & bass to give it more diversity, a very welcome addition.
It should also be noted that the top comment on the Proximity upload is from Axwell himself… could this mean the remix might get an official release on Axtone? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
