If you haven’t heard of Out There, don’t be surprised; the producer has been on hiatus for nearly three years. In that time, Out There, real name Sam Perlow, has focused on finding his sound and identity as a musician, including enrolling in Berklee College of Music where he is continuing his education from afar as he remains in LA making music.
His grand reintroduction to dance music comes with “Risk It All,” out now via Lowly Palace. This is the first of a long line of tunes that Out There is ready to roll out in 2018, ready to make a serious name for himself in both the pop and electronic scene.
“Risk It All” is a particularly strong start, pushing a sonic soundscape similar to that of Stephen, Lemaitre, and StayLoose. With featured vocals from Blake Rose, the song plays with conventional tempos and rhythms all while conveying a deep technical ability for composition and writing.
