Undisputedly one of the most important names in the trap scene, he has just released a new album titled The Rebirth. It arrives through his own Quality Goods Records, and is out at the same time as UZ’s North American tour.
Nine tracks make up this LP and they are nine incredible sounds. A couple of wired cuts, ‘Mad’ and ‘Rebirth’ open proceedings, before the sharpened bars of Rome Fortune arrive via ‘Leave It.’ We are treated to another couple of collaborations in ‘Flash,’ ‘Click’ and ‘Hollow,’ but each has completely fresh ideas. Make sure you listen to ‘Castle’ with Nevve’s vocals as the closing addition, UZ moves away from his usual fiery sound to develop this hidden gem.
