Late last week, rapper and artist G-Eazy was arrested in Sweden after getting into a physical altercation with security guards at club Solidaritet in Stockholm. When he was arrested and searched, police found cocaine on his person.
Today, G-Eazy, real name Gerald Gillum, is “grateful and blessed” to be a free man. According to People, Gillum managed to stay out of jail, but was still sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay approximately $9,000 USD (80,000 krona), and a restitution of around $810 USD (6,500 krona) to the security guard he allegedly assaulted.
Sweden has a zero tolerance policy on drug use, though it’s directed primarily at “prevention, treatment, and control,” as opposed to US policy where more resources are put toward incarceration. 
“I’m so fucking grateful they let me go,” wrote Gillum on Instagram, “craziest experience of my life, awful night with a lot of bad luck and some even worse decisions but like I said I’m grateful as fuck to be a free man, back on tour performing for the fans.”
