French Montana is the latest in a long list of artists who have honored the legendary Avicii during a recent show, since the producer’s unexpected passing. “Wake Me Up” sounds so bittersweet without him around, but as powerful as ever.
The rapper was performing at Landstreff Stavanger music festival in Norway when he dedicated the tribute song to Avicii. At that exact time, the clouds opened up beautifully and his presence could be felt. The crowd instinctively jumped to every beat, soaking in the moment and the little glimmer of sunlight.
“YOU WAS SHINING THROUGH THESE DARK CLOUDS ON US !! @avicii WHAT A POWERFUL MORNING,” Montana wrote. 
It’s difficult to watch this video and not get choked up — knowing how many artists and fans Avicii has had an impact on during his short time on Earth. This is a truly amazing thing to see.
Kygo, Laidback Luke, Alison Wonderland, Rita Ora, and so many more have found ways to honor the producer during recent shows. He’ll forever be missed but his music will live on.
