Summer music festivals have shown their hands, and unfortunately the cards were pretty weak this year. So, we hoped for the fall festivals to raise the stakes. Thankfully, Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas, just put out one of the best American festival lineups of 2018.
First off, ACL’s 2018 headliners are incredible. ACL managed to get both Paul McCartney and Metallica, who would both be incredible #1 acts for any festivals. ACL’s other headliners include a rare festival set from Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys, Travis Scott, ODESZA and The National.
EDM fans have a lot to enjoy with this lineup as well. Justice, Illenium, REZZ, San Holo, Gryffin, Sofi Tukker, A R I Z O N A, Lemaitre and others round out the electronic undercard. ACL also booked pop favorites Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, not to mention the return of acts like Hozier. The lineup is a bit top-heavy, but it’s hard not to be when you book two of the biggest headliners on the planet.
