News of Avicii’s death came as a massive shock to everyone this weekend, as it was reported the 28 year old DJ was found deceased in the city of Muscat, Oman on Friday afternoon. Following multiple complications with his health, the Swedish DJ made the decision to cease touring in 2016.
According to a source in the Oman police force reaching out to Sky News, there was “no criminal suspicion” in his cause of death. An official autopsy is still underway and it will be released when it’s released. In the meantime, Avicii’s untimely passing has brought together millions of people from all corners of the Earth.
The circumstances behind such togetherness is of course unfortunate, but if nothing else it shows what a profound effect Avicii had on the world.
