BREAKING: Avicii Just Died At 28

Breaking news, Swedish EDM superstar Avicii has died at the young age of 28. Avicii is world renowned for being one of dance music’s biggest stars.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” his publicist Diana Baron said in a statement. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

The Swedish DJ is most known for his breakout hit “Levels” as well as radio hits “Hey Brother” and “Wake Me Up.” After retiring from DJing in 2016 following health issues, Avicii returned in 2017 with a new EP full of hits that had EDM fans hopeful for a coming album.

Through his career, he was perhaps one of the most influential DJs in EDM. Nominated for two Grammy awards in 2011 and 2012, his impact won’t be soon forgotten. Stay tuned for updates as they come in.

  2. If by asking for a source you are questioning is it true as there are a lot of hoax celeb death news floating around, I’m sorry to say but sadly this one is true :'(. It was on both BBC News, ITV news, The Guardian has also covered it along with numerous other papers.

    I can’t believe it myself, Avicii was so young, and in his short life he did so many great tunes. Possibly one of my favourites is Waiting For Love and the animated lyric video of the dog trying to find his master – simply a superb video. Then there is his other song – Levels so good on so many levels, Hey Brother and Wake Me Up.

    Rest in peace Avicii – hopefully you’ve now woke up in the next life, and have found yourself even though you didn’t know you were lost…
