Above & Beyond Release Live Recordings Of Their Acoustic Set From Hollywood Bowl

It’s been two years since Above & Beyond’s last acoustic tour, but anyone who was at any of the cities upon which they touched down likely haven’t forgotten that experience. Spanning 10 dates, Above & Beyond toured with an expanded team and guests vocalists at every stop, putting new spins on some of their biggest hits from We Are All We NeedGroup Therapy and more.

However, no show on the tour measured up to the stop in Los Angeles at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, where Above & Beyond performed to a sold out crowd of 17,000 raging fans. It’s from that show that Above & Beyond have chosen to release live recordings on their new live album, Acoustic – Live At The Hollywood Bowl.

The album spans around 100 minutes, featuring live combinations of songs like “Satellite / Stealing Time,” as well as all of our favorite songs like “Blue Sky Action” and “Thing Called Love.” Best of all, it includes live commentary from Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, Paavo Siljamäki on stage, as well as audience reactions.

There’s no way to properly recreate the atmosphere from that night – and I know, having been there – but this album gets pretty close.
