Not that Coachella is a contest or anything, but if it were — Alison Wonderland is the champion.
Fresh off her sophomore album Awake, the producer took the stage to slay the decks per usual, but she took her performance further than ever before. As her “Good Enough” intro took off Alison found herself behind the cello, pulling on our heart strings before we even had time to take in the massive stage.
Fast forward midway through the set and she jumped on the mic to sing “Easy,” one of the most honest and emotional songs off her now album. Again, AW laid it all out there on the stage, as she always does. Simply amazing.
The slaying continued. Trippie Redd also joined her on stage to perform their collaboration “High.”
A couple times throughout the show, the amazing cello player / singer / DJ / rockstar was found scanning the crowd looking for her dad. “Where’s my dad?” she called out. Ugh, so cute.
It was impossible for her to spot her dad in the moment, as the Sahara Tent was literally overflowing with people. But luckily, a fan in the crowd captured the most precious moment from the entire set — Alison’s dad proudly recording his daughter as she played the cello yet again during her last song, “Wonderwall.”
Relive two of the greatest moments from Alison Wonderland’s Coachella debut.
