Electronic music is the great communicator, to paraphrase Red Hot Chili Peppers. I’ve featured artists from the United States, Russia, South Africa and more. I’ve also written about Elijah Wood, Idris Elba, Paris Hilton, and even interviewed Aaron Carter once. Now, I’m getting the opportunity to premiere the first single from Brody Jenner’s new project More Better with his best friend Adam O’Rourke (of progressive rock act 2CENTS), “Never Tell.”
“Never Tell” teases the interplay between hard and soft elements, bringing together delicate vocals from Charlie Taylor and similarly sweet synths with distorted and modulated bass. The vocals definitely have a pop element to them that’s hard to separate from the electronic production, but the whole project is ultimately surprising and enjoyable.
