The biggest EDM artist to take the stage on Day 1 of Coachella 2018 is none other than the king of tropical and melodic house himself, Kygo. Making his main stage debut at the festival and on today’s Coachella live stream, Kygo will be performing his new album Kids In Love as well as all the classics that made you fall in love with him in the first place.
Kygo hasn’t played Coachella since 2015, when he took over the Mojave. This was before he’d released his debut album Cloud Nine and when hype around him was truly reaching a fever pitch. Now, three years later, Kygo has toured the world and is on his second stage installation which will no doubt make an appearance on Coachella’s main stage this year. With plenty of time between performances, Kygo is sure to have a few tricks up his sleeve, especially with the larger stage and audience at his disposal.
Dance music has been gracing Coachella’s main stage more and more in recent years, especially since Calvin Harris and Kaskade both crushed their respective performances, not to mention Porter Robinson & Madeon last year performing the final Shelter sets. With Kygo and Odesza both repping dance music for the main stage this year, we can only expect the best from both of them.
