DJ Snake has already had quite the stellar 2018. He started off by releasing “Magenta Riddim” (which just recently got its own epic music video), then crushed Ultra Music Festival, then dropped an insane collaboration with Jauz, and now he’s just put out a new song with Chinese hip-hop group Higher Brothers, called “Made In China.”
Higher Brothers are part of the collective/label called 88rising, and DJ Snake teaming up with them is a pretty huge deal. Not to mention the fact that “Made In China” features their native Mandarin, the track is quite lit in every sense of the word.
Fans were slightly worried that after “Magenta Riddim” and “A Different Way,” DJ Snake was veering more toward the bass/pop fusion route. However, “Gassed Up” and “Made In China” do well to dissipate any doubts that the Parisian phenom still has that fire within him. But as we’ve seen time and time again, his catalog is quite varied already so we should have trusted him from the start.
DJ Snake won’t be at Coachella this year, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear this from any of his contemporaries playing the festival, like TroyBoi, Party Favor, Eprom, etc.
