There are two types of people in this world: the ones who hate the Snapchat update, and those who stopped using the app altogether because of it. That leaves little room for any users to be completely happy with the drastic changes.
The petition with over 1,250,000 people signatures demanding a redesign says it all. And after initially refusing to listen to its users, it seems as though Snapchat is actually making moves reverting back to its old ways.
According to TechCrunch, some users have already started noticing the much-loved reverse chronological order make its return to the feeds. Most prefer this arrangement compared to the algorithmically sorted feed.
“Beginning soon on iOS, and with Android in the coming weeks, we are introducing tabs in Friends and Discover,” Snapchat shared in a recent statement. “Which will make it easier to find the Stories that you want, when you want them.
“Once you receive the update, you’ll be able to sort things like Stories, Group Chats, and Subscriptions, allowing you to further customise your own experience on the app.”
Meanwhile, you can sign the petition here if you want to make it count. Let’s hope Snapchat gets it right this time!
