As the drop date for Alison Wonderland‘s new album Awake nears, the Sydney-born, LA-based producer is getting real with her fans. The DJ/producer, aka Alex Sholler in real life, just opened up during AW’s official Reddit AMA.
She broke the ice with three random pieces of info: “I am Alison Wonderland and I make music, I think too much, I don’t believe in pants.”
During the Reddit AMA, she took on questions of all sorts and rattled off answers like it was her job. Sholler talked about some of her favorite things, including producers she’s really into right now. She also opened up about becoming a producer and battling anxiety. There were serious moments, with plenty of time for messing around, but through it all AW made this a very informative AMA. 
This Friday, Awake will finally be unleashed on us. The producer’s most vulnerable and personal record yet boasts singles “Happy Place” and “Church.” And soon after those became fan favorites, AW also blessed us with “No” and “High.” She’s on pace for her most diverse release to date.
Even though she’s a superstar DJ, Sholler is 100% so down to earth and it’s so refreshing. Check out just some of our favorite moments as the producer dishes about everything from online house parties to Kanye West to “sucking at life” (which, she definitely doesn’t).

She obviously mentioned her cool manager…
She simply could not answer this one…
Despite what she says, we know Alison Wonderland most definitely doesn’t suck at life… lol!
