This weekend, Taiwan’s premiere homegrown EDM festival returns for its second year. In preparation for this massive event, I have compiled a list of the top 5 sets you absolutely NEED to see! Check it all out below and grab your tickets while you still can.
- Axwell Λ Ingrosso – On the heels of Swedish House Mafia‘s reunion at Ultra Music Festival’s 20th anniversary, Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso’s duo project is sure to raise eyebrows in Taipei, Taiwan. Will fans hear some unreleased music from SHM? It’s certainly possible!
- Yellow Claw w/ Special Guest – After an insane performance at LOOPTOPIA‘s 2017 debut, Yellow Claw are returning with a special guest who we can’t even begin to try and predict. After their 2017 album, Los Amsterdam, it’s evident that the special guest could be one of many previous collaborators — or even someone totally unexpected.
- RayRay – Easily the top local performer slated for LOOPTOPIA‘s 2nd anniversary event, RayRay is sure to bring high energy beats and an eclectic song selection that will please visitors from abroad and local attendees alike.
- DJ Snake – Having just launched his very own record label this year and fresh from his latest international hit, “Let Me Love You,” from his 2017 album Encore, the legendary Parisian DJ is expected to bring an unprecedented level of production and song selection to his headlining Taiwan set.
- Coone – The Q-Dance takeover at LOOPTOPIA this year is going to be nothing less than extraordinary. Coone is set to close out the stage on Day 1 and his impeccable combination of melodic elements and hard hitting drops is something nobody will want to miss. Although he’s competing directly with DJ Snake, I highly recommend you split time between the two sets to get the best of both worlds.
