Ultra Music Festival‘s 20th anniversary was legitimately its biggest yet!

The numbers don’t lie. This year, Ultra Miami attracted 165,000 attendees from over 60 countries. In addition, the world was watching as 30 million viewers tuned in worldwide. The festival also hit the number 1 tending topic on social media with #Ultra20. UMF, matched with its live stream and nonstop social appeal, continuously makes it one of the most impactful music events of the year and the 20th anniversary was no exception.

The insane lineup featuring Axwell Λ IngrossoThe ChainsmokersDJ Snake, Armin van Buuren, Marshmello, David GuettaTiësto, Kaskade, Virtual Self, Tchami x Malaa, Carl Cox, and many more would have probably been enough to make Ultra 20 one for the books. However, surprise performances from Above & Beyond, Will Smith, Halsey, Desiigner, and more certainly didn’t hurt the cause.

To top it all off, a special reunion between Swedish House Mafia to close out the music festival made this year the most unforgettable in recent memory. The historic reunion came almost five years to the day after the groups’ farewell performance at Ultra Music Festival in 2013. The legendary trio, consisting of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, wowed the entire crowed as millions eagerly watching the live stream from home.

Ultra Music Festival managed to exceed expectations once again. Amongst the reunion of one of the most beloved electronic acts the world over, surprise performances from legendary artists, and unparalleled production and lighting, the festival has its sights firmly set on next year. Ultra Music Festival 2019 will take place on March 29, 30, 31 2019.
