The two-track release opens up with but a whisper, working in ZHU-esque vocals and masterful production to match. Soon, the title track “SUBTERRANEAN” takes over and no matter what time of day it actually is, the beat hits just as it would deep in the night.
Keeping with the pace, “ESTRANGED” rocks a mysterious groove with a heavy techno edge. With this one, Nourmand finds his own secret weapon, a real club banger itching to go off at any moment. The track guarantees to fill any size room and set the dance floor on fire. 
Though it’s just two tracks deep, the LA-based producer finds room to stretch and prove his capabilities. “ESTRANGED” and “SUBTERRANEAN” are both prime examples of smart, sophisticated techno. Proof the producer has a bright, budding future even as his sound lurks in the shadows.
