Gentlemens Club has never been a group that has shied away from letting their harder sides out, and “Format” is one of their hardest tracks to date.
Releasing on Never Say Die Black Label, “Format” starts off rather playfully. The breakbeat and 8-bit synths surely give a false sense of security as the drop is anything but playful. If anything, it’s more like the bully on the playground that first offers you a popsicle and then right as you reach for it, he throws it on the ground and stomps on it.
What I mean to say is, “Format” is ruthless. It’s mean and angry and probably doesn’t have a good home life. It hits you right in the gut and keeps hitting. Check it out below!
