Alison Wonderland and Trippie Redd just dropped this surreal music video for the producer’s new single, which is sure to take you “High!”
Audibly and visually, these two create an experience much like a 3-minute free fall down the rabbit hole, so don’t hurt yourself trying to make too much sense of it. Just feel it. As the track opens up, Wonderland calls on deep organ chords and lush synths as vibrant as the bed of flowers surrounding them. Meanwhile, Trippie gets legitimately high as he sings about — you guessed it — getting high.
As free form as it seem, there’s some rhyme and reason at work here, which becomes abruptly apparent when the song drops off into a crazy, distorted soundscape that taps into Flume-esque territory. The vibe and the world around them changes so suddenly, but these two stick by each other like ride or dies should. 
“High” serves as the fourth release from AW’s second studio album Awake, following up “Happy Place,” “Church” and “No.” The producer has made it obvious she’s not limiting herself to any one style or genre, but choosing to cater to her true artistic freedom. With intuition as her guide, Wonderland has proven making music true to herself is the best thing she can do for her fans.
