This Marshmello Collaborator Just Signed A $30 Million Record Deal

Logic is living large — the rapper just signed a lucrative music deal with Def Jam for a whopping $30 million!

He wasn’t shy about making it to the big leagues. During a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1, Logic confirmed the huge deal.

“When I first signed my deal, the advance was like 200 grand,” he said. “So going from Section 8 and food stamps and welfare to 200 grand was life-changing, but the life change I’m talking about is the $30 million-dollar deal I just signed. That shit freaked me out. I felt like a target.”

His latest mixtape Bobby Tarantino II references the deal on “Wassup” featuring Big Sean.  “I just updated my old deal,” Logic raps. “Told Def Jam no less than 20 mill…and they cut that shit!”

What’s next for Logic? He’s working on a new album and raking in a whole lot of dough.

  1. I respect marshmello, and I’m happy for Logic, but this bit of news had absolutely nothing to do with marshmello.

Logic has had higher-charting songs than marshmello, so I’d argue that he deserves to be named in this headline and marshmello does not, since he had nothing to do with the deal. And try not to rely on marshmello just to get pageviews if he’s only tangentially related to a story, because the response will probably be negative.
