EDM fans will recognize Daya’s name as the featured artist on The Chainsmokers’ smash hit “Don’t Let Me Down,” but, as with most featured vocalists, she has her own successful solo career as well. Even still, she’s putting that aside for a moment for a new collaboration with one of dance music’s heaviest hitters: RL Grime.
RL Grime announced yesterday that his album was completed and a new single was due out Friday; this morning he revealed the title of the single will be “I Wanna Know,” featuring Daya.
He posted a teaser video today along with the announcement – unfortunately, we don’t get any idea what the song will sound like, except for some brief vocalisations from Daya toward the end. But even that might not be from the actual track, and there’s still no melody to speak of.
