Whyel Puts His Pop Punk Spin On Marshmello’s “You & Me”

When Marshmello dropped his single “You & Me” with his own vocals, comparisons were immediately made to the pop punk era of blink-182 and Sum 41. Now that Whyel has gotten his hands on it, those comparisons finally have ground to stand on.

Having already transformed tracks from DJ Snake and Dillon Francis into pop punk masterpieces, Whyel now sets his sights on Marshmello. “You & Me” gets fresh guitar riffs and reimagined percussion to fit the classic style, and Mello’s vocals seem more at home than ever before.

With so many remixes now under his belt in this style, we’re left wondering when we’ll get a fresh original from Whyel. But until then, you can look forward to his remix of “You Owe Me” by The Chainsmokers, coming soon.

For now, check out his remix of “You & Me” below.
