Monstercat Uncaged Vol. 4 is finally here.
If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple months, allow me to get you up to speed… In early January, Monstercat split into two distinct brands: Uncaged and Instinct. Though both sides still fall under the “Monstercat” umbrella, each brand respectively has its own merchandise, release schedule and compilation album series.
Monstercat Uncaged Vol. 4 is the label’s first compilation release since their rebrand in January. The album represents the mission of Uncaged, which is to pursue the explosive, energetic dance music that Monstercat was founded on. 
The label accomplishes this with a mix of hefty recruits (Infected Mushroom, Modestep, Gent & Jawns) and fan favorites (Stonebank, Nitro Fun, Pegboard Nerds), as well as a good handful of fresh faces.
Uncaged Vol. 4 just might be the compilation you’ve been waiting for. Don’t miss out on this one!

Pegboard Nerds & lug00ber – Bring Me Joy
On “Bring Me Joy,” the ever-popular Pegboard Nerds joined forces with one of the most underground talents in the D&B scene for a drumstep/happy hardcore hybrid that transcends all expectations.
MYRNE – Lyra
MYRNE just keeps getting better and better. “Lyra” is absolutely next level in every aspect, from its organic instrumentation to its foreign influences to its mind-blowingly beautiful future bass drop. Give this one a listen and make sure your floor is padded, because your jaw is gonna hit it real fast.
Ephixa & Bossfight – Subside
Monstercat doesn’t release electro house too often, but when they do, it’s always enough to make up for the lack of it. “Subside” is no exception to this rule, especially considering it completely smashes the boundaries of its genre classification. They’ve both been around for a few years now, but keep a sharp eye out for Ephixa & Bossfight in 2018.
Zac Waters – A Lot Like You
“A Lot Like You” is undoubtedly one of the best progressive trance tunes of the year so far. Zac Waters‘ ability to portray a story and evoke emotion with such little lyrical content is simply unmatched (at least in the realm of trance music). Slippy – Haunted VIP
While we may not have known that his VIP remix of “Haunted” would be his final release as Slips & Slurs, Slippy still managed to blow us away. The best elements from the song’s original mix stay intact, while the newly-added trap and future bass drops are fun, heavy and unexpected.
