While I’m generally accustomed to covering artists of more notable stature, one of my greatest joys comes from shining a light on artists who are just starting or who might need that extra notoriety to really get their act going. Enter BARILAN, who’s taken up a remix of Slushii’s new song “There x2.”
Keeping Slushii’s vocals pretty much entirely intact, BARILAN injects some of the heavier dubstep flavor we’d expect from Slushii in the first place. Not everything about the track is perfect (e.g., the staccato synths at 1:30), but the intent and vision are both there.
We’ll be keeping an eye on BARILAN in the coming years, give him a follow on SoundCloud!
