Jay-Z is officially the richest hip hop artist in the world!
The high profile rapper has been named the wealthiest by Forbes, so you know it’s legit. But seriously, with an estimated worth of $900 million, Jay is sitting pretty at the top of the hip hop game.
In 2017, Diddy beat out Jay-Z with his worth at $820 million. Somehow a year later Jay managed to go from a cool $810 million to his $900 million spot.
Diddy jumped up in estimated worth as well, coming in at the number 2 spot with $825 million. Dr. Dre remains at number 3, with his value raising from $740 million in 2017 to $770 million in 2018. Eminem and Drake come in tied for the number 4 and 5 spots with $100 million each.
Hova has proven himself true innovator and curator in music with his label Roc Nation and streaming service Tidal. Jay has also proven himself as an entrepreneur of other varieties with his Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Usse cognac, just to name a couple of ventures. He’s a true hustler — and even at the top there is probably no stopping for Jay-Z.
