I’ve actually been meaning to write about new artist doppla for more than a month now, but the timing just hasn’t been right. Finally, I get to share his music with our readers, and what better occasion than this wonky and massive collaboration with Holly, “Duck And Cover.”
Holly and doppla are a match made in heaven, as both producers are particularly adept at utilizing strange and unique sound design to push their creative ideas to the limit. “Duck And Cover” is surely a prime example of their desire to break boundaries, using interesting vocal samples, mechanical sound effects, and deeply disturbing basslines (but in a good way).
