The general consensus with many college students that it’s “easy” or even “very easy” to score drugs, according to a new study. And fewer than 5 percent of those surveyed said they found it “difficult” to buy drugs.
Interestingly enough, the study didn’t take marijuana into consideration at all. This means that drugs are more accessible among college kids than ever, with easy access to pretty much any drug you can think of — “cocaine, crack, ecstasy, heroin, LSD, mushrooms, Xanax, OxyContin, and methamphetamines.”
Additionally, researchers found that Florida State University students splurge the most on drug habits with an average spending of $290 per month. Followed by California State University, Fullerton at $261 per month and Florida International University at $253 per month. 
The most shocking of all the findings — students aren’t always paying for these illegal substances with currency. About 14 percent of survey respondents confessed they had slept with their drug dealer for drugs. Sex-for-drug trade were mostly made for cocaine, opioids, ecstasy and Xanax.
This close look at college students and drugs was conducted on behalf of the Florida House Experience, a mental health and addiction treatment center. Take 5 Media surveyed 1,082 students from University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and more.
