It’s been a little bit since we’ve heard that “classic” Wolfgang Gartner sound. We’re not opposed to artists experimenting and growing their sound, as Gartner did on 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate, but the days of “Illmerica” and “Wolfgang’s 5th Symphony” still hold a dear place in our hearts.
That’s why we’re so ecstatic to hear that sound make a comeback (and then some) on his new collaboration with k?d, “Banshee.” That orchestral and anthemic Gartner sound is perfectly identifiable, while the distinctly punchy and modern sound engineering from k?d shines throughout the track. The combination of both artists’ styles could not have been a better match up, and “Banshee” is one of those subtle dancefloor bangers that creeps up on you. Before you know it, you’re jumping wildly up and down with hundreds or thousands of others, having the time of your life.
