The act of buying an internet domain for one topic and having it redirect to a separate topic is one of the oldest trolls since the dawn of the internet. It’s been done for presidential campaigns, video game launches, various guerrilla marketing tactics, and more. Now, marshmello is the latest to be faced with this, erm, challenge.
As it turns out, marshmello.com redirects you to the Snapchat profile of a user called “jesseatepizza.” We’ve reached out to Jesse to see why he did this in the first place, but so far we haven’t received a response.
