Ganja White Night Drops New Collaboration With Zeds Dead Ahead Of New Album

We last heard from Zeds Dead toward the end of 2017 when they released their collaborative track with Jauz, “Lights Go Down.” Now in 2018, they’re back with another collaboration called “Samurai” with Ganja White Night, off their new album The Origins, out next Monday, February 5.

This is the kind of track where, if you put it on and start doing something else, you’ll soon forget who it was that you’re listening to. Beginning with delicate piano notes and a soft vocalization betwixt an almost tribal rhythm and drum pattern, the song lulls you into a false sense of security. It’s almost Haywyre-esque in execution, utilizing jazz and classical elements in the mix that you wouldn’t ever expect to hear.

And then, just as you’re starting to get comfortable with it, the absolute wobble madness comes in and reminds you that you are, in fact, listening to Ganja White Night and Zeds Dead. As far as overall composition goes, the track is wonderful and a welcome addition to an album that will likely be heavy on the wobbles.

The Origins, dropping Monday, features collaborations with Caspa, Boogie T, Dirt Monkey, and Zeds Dead. The Origins Tour will follow soon after, featuring Caspa, OpiuoDownlink, Dirt Monkey, and Subtronics on select dates.
