Report: Apple Plans To Cancel Its Flagship iPhone X By Summer

It seems the iPhone X has become more of a flop than a success, as a new leak reveals Apple has plans to discontinue its most expensive smartphone to date.

Going off a reliable source, AppleInsider says disappointing sales of the iPhone X are the leading cause of its inevitable cancellation. According to the report, Apple is planning on ceasing production by this summer.

Apparently the just-as-new and more affordable option, the iPhone 8 Plus is satisfying users in ways the iPhone X cannot. However, interest in all new iPhones, regardless of model, is rumored to have hit a historic low.

But the idea behind the iPhone X won’t be going away completely. KGI Securities’ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the hyped up iPhone X will soon be replaced by three other leading iPhone X inspired designs:

– second generation 5.8-inch iPhone X
– 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus
– “$650-750” 6.1-inch iPhone SE replacement

Though this is all coming from reliable sources, we’ll have to wait and see if Apple actually does away with its most controversial smartphone yet.
